Abstract


Chi Li is an excellent writer in the contemporary literary world in China. Since 1987,When Chi Li rapidly rose in fame in literary for her series works, she has been regarded as one important representative of New Realistically. After that she built up the foundation that she would use her novels to describe the common people’s life. In 1990s,her works timely reflected the change of days. In the difficult state of recent pure literature, but her works had a ready market. She has won the wide identity, and become a writer who is loved by readers and literary.This paper try to have a synthesize discuss about Chi Li’s novels. On the base of Chi Li’s twenties years works and or so one hundred of theoretical articles, I want to analyse synthetically her work’s feature and aesthetic value.I think the contribution of Chi Li’s works lies in facing squarely the realities of ordinary people’s lives, and vividly display their real existing condition. She persists the stand of common people, shows the ordinary lives of common people of the general class. Her works dispel the illusory love myth, and return love to an original true essence. Chi Li’s works keenly catch women’s anxiety who are pounded by the commodity society. Chi Li especially pay attention to women’s lives and destinies.Chi Li’s works is plain and easy to understand and fascinating. Chi Li is good at using language. Her works’ language is exquisite, plain and concise, which can express her feeling precisely and gracefully. The stories that she told is usually commonplace, sometimes it even isn’t a story, but she can write wonderfully with vivid description.From early to now, Chi Li’s works have obvious changed traces. In her every stage, chi Li has some totally different style works. It isn’t often such as these strong and individual changes. This also reflects that Chi Li has vigorous creativity.
