Abstract


In this study, the families of prisoners as research object , explored the experiences of the families of jailed after major life events , coping style and individual characteristics of subjective well-being as well as the relationships between them . Inmates and their families through the comparative analysis of the control group , the study reached the following conclusions : ( 1 ) to solve the problem is an important coping . In addition, families of inmates tend to use rationalization and fantasy, while the control group was greater use of help and avoidance coping style . On each factor in coping styles were no significant differences in gender and social status , but the age difference was significant ; ( 2 ) happiness relative stability , and there is no age differences . But happiness has significant gender differences in women than in men 's happiness level score higher ; prisoners families happiness social status significantly different ; ( 3 ) correlation analysis of the results showed that inmates families and the control group, there are different due to mode. Problem-solving is a positive coping style , and self-blame and avoidance coping styles are considered negative . Regression analysis found that remorse inmates families coping style is an effective predictor of happiness , it can be the families of prisoners happiness 28.3% of the variance . While the control group predictor of happiness is to solve the problem and fantasy , they can explain 25% of the variance of happiness .
