Abstract


Language output of the process has been a focus and difficulty of psycholinguistic research. Although this process on many issues is still quite vague, even in the presence of a lot of controversy, but most people agree that activate word Note in the concept, there will be more semantic Contact the word to be activated at the same time, resulting in the target word Note lexical competition in the selection process. For bilinguals, a key question is whether the lexical competition exists between the two languages. For the study of this problem in the past, mostly based on the two languages ??have higher levels of foreign subjects, and the conclusions of the same. In response to this situation, as the subjects of Chinese English majors, try to answer the following two questions: 1. Chinese English students in Chinese or English naming pictures, words from another language Note whether simultaneously activated? 2. Note the words of the two languages ??are activated at the same time, then the speaker is in the process of selecting the target word between them is whether there is competition? In order to answer these two questions, the reaction time of three computer-aided design experiments. Experiment subjects were asked to see the pictures on the computer screen as quickly as possible and accurately say its name in Chinese. In the naming process, there will be different types of noise words appear: the equivalent of the word with the picture name (Chinese or English), picture semantically related words (English or Chinese) and non-related words (Chinese or English) . Second experiment with the same experimental step, participants need only to name pictures in English. Based on the above results, we concluded: 1 English students in the output of Chinese words from the English word Note will not be activated, and thus will not be from the English speaker. 2 English students in the English word output process, from the Chinese word Note also activated, but the same target word NOTE showing a transition state between competitive and non-competitive. Chinese English students have mastered a certain number of English vocabulary, semantic links between terms is not close enough to reflect the characteristics of interlanguage. Based on the above conclusions, and compared with the previous studies, and thus that the level of competition between the two languages ??are not fixed or not, second language affect cross-language competition. In the initial stage of second language learning, the speaker will inevitably be subject to the word interference from the mother tongue, but with raising the level of the second language, the mother tongue gradually weakened, until it completely disappeared.
