Abstract


Internet broke through the boundaries of geography and ethnicity , on the theoretical significance of equality for all . Currently, most Internet Investigator concern is the effect of the mutual influence of the network constructed free environment as well as Internet users and networks . Minority , anthropologists and sociologists of different nationalities, especially minority of Internet users , network usage . Based on national research results , it can be learned that minorities in access to and use of the network is still in its infancy . The purpose of this paper is to explore the minorities to use the mass media is quite different from traditional media - the Internet - the Ethnic Identity change and how to change and change what the situation , as well as the sense of national identity in the modern network environment significance changed. The popularity of the Internet as the background , the subjects were locked in the Internet population of ethnic minorities , Tibetan , for example in the largest Tibetan city of Lhasa , the Tibetan family members -depth interviews , ethnographic research methods to examine their network practices and network to their changed circumstances . The study found that the use of the Internet to spread the traditional Tibetan cultural and religious content of the national identity at the same time , the expression of the Tibetan people , ways and lifestyle gradually unified the mainstream culture .
