Xiao Hong is a woman writer with a peculiar writing style in modern Chinese literature. The review before used to shape and regulate her works in view of the flavor of times, the marker of politics, the viewpoint of class and the style of writing. The paper is intended to overstep the category of class analysis, and instead, give a new interpretation of her writing spirit and art from the angle of the sense of women awareness. The paper analyses the background and causes of the formation of the sense with a particular stress on its manifestation in her writing and the impact on the style building peculiar to her with a view to embodying the charm of traversing time-space continuum in her works. The paper is consisted of three parts.Chapter I The historical background and social and personal factors of the formation of her sense of women awareness. In the Feudalism women has no rights to see except being seen. In the male-centered society the term "female" is only a sex physiologically, neither intellectually nor spiritually. The historical gap of literature female images resulted in a chaotic sense of self-identification and sex awareness. The end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th witnessed an upsurge in the sense of women awareness in response to the general improvement of females as a whole, their economic independence and social participation. In the first half of the 20 century distinctive and profound touches in the sense of women awareness can easily find the expressions in the works of some female writers, of whom Xiao Hong is the most reprensentitive.Chapter II The embodiment of the sense in Xiao Hong’s writing practice. XiaoHong’s consistent concern is on the living conditions of her hometown , especially those of the miserable women: their animal-like living condition and the apathetic sense of life, their pursuit and its final disillusion, and their tragic fate.Chapter III The impact of the sense on the formation of her writing style. Her extraordinary suffering, peculiar personality and outstanding literature talents and the hereby-formed sense of women awareness enables her to build her own writing style distinctive in choosing and organizing writing materials and the employment of language, ie Xiao Hong’s peculiar writing style
