Abstract


Since reform and opening-up, more and more peasants moved to urban area for employment. With the development of times, the peasants didn’t want to like the“migrant bird”any more, most of them increasingly intend to settle down in urban. However, on the road to become a citizen, they faced many difficulties,which hadn’t been solved. In respond to this problem, we chose Soochow MeiChang Community–where many migrant workers lived-as our case to investigate social exclusion that the workers faced. We will use the Theory of Empowerment to study the situation of invalidity of migrant workers. Under Advantage Perspective, we will use professional approach of social work to solve the problems of this community. The research aims to respond to the issue of social inclusion of these emigrants, as well as action research towards a community inclusion approach.
