Abstract


Objective: To observe octreotide (octreotide, Oct) transcatheter arterial chemotherapy via the hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (TAC) combined with portal vein infusion chemotherapy (portal vein chemotherapy, PVC) treatment effect on implanted liver cancer in rats; octreotide with fluorouracil (5-fluorouracil ,5-Fu) local infusion treatment efficacy of implanted liver cancer in rats. Methods: 30 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups, each of 10 A group for the experimental group, B group, negative control group, positive control group, C group. Immunohistochemical Bcl-2: A, B and C compare the difference was significant (P lt; 0.01); A and B compare the difference was significant (P lt; 0.01). Compared in adjacent normal liver tissue: A and B group TUNEL, Bax, expression of Bcl-2 staining and expression intensity were significant difference (P lt; 0.01). Electron microscopy: A group of visible obvious change in nuclei of tumor cells and mitochondrial apoptosis, apoptotic changes than group B Group A slight, while Group C of apoptotic changes rare. After the longest survival time of 39 days, the octreotide group; postoperative shortest survival time of 22 days for the saline control group. Compare the survival time of the group A and group C, the difference was significant (P lt; 0.05); between group A and group B, between B and C groups survival time was no significant difference significance (P gt; .05). Conclusion: Octreotide by local perfusion can inhibit the growth of implanted liver cancer in rats, and promote the occurrence of apoptosis in cancer cells; compared with 5-Fu antitumor effect of octreotide is more obvious, and the more minor damage to the normal liver tissue. Octreotide after local perfusion treatment to extend the survival time of rats with implanted liver cancer; compared with 5 - fluorouracil, octreotide by local perfusion effect no significant difference in the survival time of rats with implanted liver cancer.
