Materials are foundation and precursor to the social existence and development as well as the turning point of human improvement. Plenty of resources and energy, however, have been consumed when fabricating materials, therefore, it causes serious environment pollution when satisfying the requirement of social economy development, especially in the field of iron and steel. To crack this crux, some elementary researches have been carrying on. A certain related reference bases have been done for the enhancement of production technique and the formulation of development tactics by analyzing and judging the utilization and sustainable development level in production process technique of corporation and its influence on environment. The whole thesis is based on Panzhihua iron and steel corporation, the sustainable development level of production material flow and resource utilization in Panzhihua iron and steel corporation has been analyzed and studied. Some conceptions of materials flow analysis and production materials flow have been introduced briefly, moreover, the development of materials flow theory and its application have also been included. The related theory of sustainable development as well as resource science and their relationship have been proposed. Linking with the practical characteristics in Panzhihua iron and steel corporation, some indicators systems used for evaluating production sustainable development in Panzhihua iron and steel corporation have been established. The main prioritie about the indicators systems is easy to operate, workable and feasible and able to describe and discriminate the situation of sustainable utilization of resources in Panzhihua iron and steel corporation qualitatively. Evaluation models of sustainable development level have been set up by using eight quantitative description indicators of sustainable development and synthetic satisfaction degree of iron, titanium and vanadium in production resources has been marked. Their scores are 30.4, 72.7, 34.2 respectively. The sustainable development levels are unsustainable, commonly sustainable and unsustainable respectively. Production mass flow analysis model has been constructed through utilizing input-output theory in the mass flow analysis model. The characteristics of energy consumption, water consumption and discharge of exhaustive water in various production procedures have been obtained by analyzing the whole production processes in Panzhihua iron and steel corporation. The following results can been achieved: when <WP=6>manufacturing per ton steels, 1.72 ton of tailings will be discharged, 6.90 ton waste rocks and 1.29 ton of mining surface will be striped, 0.907 ton of blast furnace slag, 43 m3 of converter coal gas and 11.61 ton titanium white waste acid have been discharged. Among the solid garbage in the production, 37% of iron resources, 54% of vanadium resources, 95% of titanium resources in the whole raw materials resources are contained. These results can be calculated from mining process to hot rolling process: when producing per ton steel, greenhouse effect is 1249.9 kg and acidification effect is 112.3 kg. Some tactics of sustainable development in Panzhihua iron and steel corporation have been proposed according to the pragmatic properties of production mass flow in Panzhihua iron and steel corporation: improving the process technologically of titanium resource utilization; manufacturing titanium white powder by using high-ranked titanium slag; fabricating artificial rutile by utilizing exhaustive acidity; enhancing utilization efficiency of resources; elongating chain of production; use circularly and enhancing development and utilization level of exhaustive matters.
