Abstract


In this paper, the microstructure of electrolytic capacitor with 3003 aluminum cathode foil performance investigated . Study showed that: the shape of the second phase particles in the aluminum foil a serious impact on the corrosion of the cathode foil and the specific capacitance, the etched surface of the aluminum foil when the second-phase fine particles , dispersed in the matrix , a good state, than the high capacitance ; when coarse second phase particles precipitated in the aluminum foil , an aluminum foil does not form a uniform pitting , which can not be effectively expanded surface area and improve the specific capacitance , and the resulting black surface after etching phenomenon generated off powder . The study also shows that the second phase the number of particles is also important factors impact than the capacitance , fine dispersion of second phase particles , the more corrosion than the higher the capacitance of the aluminum foil . Proposed new quench aging process , improve the status of the microstructure of the aluminum foil , in particular, the composition of the second phase particles , shape and distribution of the state , so that the corrosion of aluminum foil can , and improved specific capacitance . After annealing at high temperature , since the aluminum foil and a coarse second phase (MnFe ) Al 6 particle solid solution , so that the aluminum foil corrosion morphology improved , bright surface and no dust . Several compared to the high - temperature annealing process at 630 ° C after 6 hours incubation , the effect of solid solution of the second phase particles . Cooling the alloy solid solution have a serious impact on the performance of the aluminum foil , black surface after corrosion of aluminum foil with furnace cooling and low specific capacitance of corrosion of aluminum foil ; quenched been significantly improved , but not high specific capacitance ; through after quenching and aging , the precipitation of the aluminum matrix , dispersion MnAl 6 particles, so that the aluminum foil having a uniform bit error distribution, and have uniform corrosion pitting nucleation zone , to thereby obtain a uniform sponge hole corrosion morphology , and significantly improved specific capacitance on the basis of the good corrosion surface , under the test conditions , 630 ℃ for 6 hours - quenching and aging at -60 ℃ 11 hours for the best technology .
