Abstract


Hoh Xil Basin , northern Tibet, Cenozoic lacustrine carbonate rocks , petrology , scanning electron microscopy , X -ray diffraction analysis of carbon and oxygen stable isotope determination of trace element analysis , trying to clarify ancient - during the Neogene the lake environment of the Hoh Xil Basin evolution trends and their drivers, provide valuable information for the study of the Cenozoic uplift of the Tibetan plateau and its environmental effects . Petrological characteristics and biological combination of research results show that the ancient basin lake systems in the Paleogene - Neogene turn of occurrence of significant changes in the environment and the deposition of institutional transformation , the ancient lake by the open- to closed , elevated salinity , biological species tend to single ; the the δ 13 < / sup> C and δ , 18 O values ??showed obvious with heterotaxy new trend positive shift , and in the Oligocene Ya West measures group - the Miocene five Liang Qun boundaries at a sudden positive bias , reflects the change of the study area the lakes type and climate state ; land-based sources of trace elements in the Paleogene - Neogene turn of a sharp reduction and lakes authigenic type elements in the same layer bit sudden increase , as well as the representative of the the drought degree of fluctuations the Na / Ti and Na / K ratio of the corresponding changes , further explained the study area from the Oligocene to Miocene climate experienced from the warm and humid to the development of the hot and dry . Hoh Xil Basin with the Qiangtang region over the same period Lake sediments reflect the early Miocene warming event regional comparability .
