Spatial Features of Unstable Coupled Waves in the Air-Sea System and Its Relationship with Inter-decadal Oscillation

In this paper, a simple air-sea coupled with a deep-sea role model , analysis of the spatial structure of the unstable coupled waves in the ocean-atmosphere system ( phase difference and amplitude ) , and combined with instability coupled wave structure (e- folding time scale and cycle ) to discuss its decadal oscillation characteristics , and diagnostic analysis of the theoretical results with the observational data . The conclusions were as follows : ( 1) For the unstable coupled waves in the ocean-atmosphere system , atmospheric disturbances ahead phase marine disturbance phase 0 of π / 2, in particular the most unstable air-sea interaction perturbation phase advance in the atmosphere ocean disturbance phase π / 4:00 ; (2) the relationship between the atmospheric and ocean perturbation amplitude is determined by the relative size of the wind stress coefficient and marine heating coefficient , atmospheric perturbation amplitude may be less than the marine perturbation amplitude perturbation amplitude may be greater than the ocean ; (3 ) deep ocean to ocean mixed layer for the spatial structure of the air-sea coupled wave is small, the air-sea coupling coefficient is small , deep-sea interaction coefficients increase causes the phase difference and amplitude ratio decreases , the air-sea coupling coefficient is large deep - sea interaction coefficients increase causes the phase difference and amplitude ratio increases ; (4) the spatial structure of the unstable air-sea coupling wave ( phase difference and amplitude ) as well as deep-sea role , contact with the ocean-atmosphere system decadal oscillation unstable air-sea interaction may be one of the air-sea system decadal oscillation mechanism ; (5 ) diagnostic analysis shows that the mid-latitude North Pacific Ocean region sea surface temperature field and sea surface pressure field are significant decadal cycle change sea ??surface wind stress field of the region there are also changes in the decadal cycle , sea surface temperature and wind stress field in the decadal cycle change within two there is a certain phase difference . Winter sea surface temperature field in the mid-latitude North Pacific region , and 500hPa heights significant positive correlation between the decadal within .
