Abstract

In this paper, the NCEP / NCAR reanalysis data of sea surface temperature and OLR data provided by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the Jiangsu Meteorological Observatory and the World Climate Research Project Team precipitation stations and GPCP precipitation data via the statistical analysis, research the characteristics of abnormal climate of the Huaihe River Valley during the rainy season. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) 55a Huaihe River basin during the rainy season climatic characteristics of the study show that: the start and end of the rainy season and 200 hPa near Calcutta in India the steady westerly end and the western Pacific subtropical high (hereinafter referred to as the Deputy High) twice seasonal northward jump is closely related; rainy season start and end times the amount of the two most important characteristics have significant inter-annual variation; around the beginning of the rainy season, the South Asia High strengthen Toshin, vice lift the westward extension of the North, the summer air flow by strong weakening of the cold and warm air in the Huaihe River Valley cross-sui; before and after the end of the South Asia High strengthen westward and northward, East Asian subtropical westerly jet weakened Beiche second northward jump of the subtropical high from weak summer monsoon airflow is rapidly increasing with rain advancing to the area north of the Huaihe River Valley. (2) the rainy season starts the partial early years, the same period the (partial early years, for example, the same below), South Asia high on the strong side to the north, East, West Asia region two subtropical westerly jet the weak North shrink, East Asian trough weak from South Africa Peninsula, the Middle East and the Pacific region has been to the western Pacific warm pool in the east of the Philippines and equatorial convection is active on the strong side, the South China Sea ITCZ ??India's southwest monsoon outbreak earlier, near the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau positive thermal anomaly, land-sea thermal gradient, the above situation is favorable The WPSH early; early ENSO warm (cold) phase favor when the rainy season started late (early) in terms of short-term climate prediction, pre-winter 1,2 and 3,4 Spring Nino 4 Harbour temperature anomalies can be used to predict the rainy season starts sooner or later; ENSO warm (cold) phase of the year, \and the outbreak of the Indian summer monsoon rainy season started late (B). (3) the end of the rainy season, partial early years over the same period, South Asia high on the strong side the two subtropical westerly jet north, East, West Asia region weak North shrink NECV weak, Indochina, South China Sea, the Philippines and the east of West Pacific vigorous convection of warm pool, the South China Sea ITCZ ??on the strong side, the situation is favorable early WPSH; the end of the rainy season, sooner or later, short-term climate prediction compared to the rainy season start sooner or later the more difficult precursory signals mainly in the pre-April to June 2011 boundaries and west of 35 ° N near in the North Pacific sea surface temperature anomaly and June \: North Pacific sea surface temperature anomalies caused by the end of the rainy season in the same period in northeast cold vortex intensity anomalies, the same period in the northeast cold vortex intensity anomalies affect the strength and position of subtropical high, thus affecting the end of the rainy season, sooner or later.
