Use of electric and magnetic fields of charged ions imprisoned in a special configuration of the experimental device technology , technology called ion confinement . The paper introduces a radio frequency ion trap ( also known as Paul trap ) works , erected in the of Trapped Ions microwave frequency standard experimental platform . Radiofrequency resonance absorption detection of mercury ions imprisoned , to sweep amplitude thrown detection , and detection field frequency scanning thrown detection method , and achieved good results in the experiments . 202Hg spectrum lamp RF excitation source tentative transformation and spectrum lamp thermostatically controlled , so that it works in the best state . Research 199Hg ion microwave frequency standard experiment carried out accumulated experience , for the follow-up work to lay the basis of preliminary experiments .
