Abstract


The logistics company of YanCon Cathy Coal Chemistry has developed from a storage company with mere distribution and transportation into a large logistics enterprise with static and dynamic integration of sales, warehousing, distribution, transportation and purchase. But its management system is still the traditional extensive warehousing management and establishment of modern logistics management has become a bottleneck for development of the company. Hence, there are more and more demand for the overall solution of integrated warehousing management and there are still higher and higher requirements for automation level. In particular, modern logistics enterprises need a lot of logistics information and a integrated management system with computer softwares must be developed to achieve the informatization of business process and managementThis subject is to develop a WEB SERVICE application platform with interoperability and distributed application programme by aiming at the actual needs of firm warehousing management and development of management system, based on the completed project with the VC development platform, C++,SQLs Server, using object-oriented design and programming technology,based on XML ( extensible makeup language ), XSD ( XML Schema )and independent of the platforms and software vendor’s standards. This paper mainly introduces the modules of warehousing, distribution and transport management and their implementation in the logistics management information system. the major task of this system development is to realize the systematization, normalization and automation of materials information in warehouse. Design and implementation of the warehouse management system have been introduced in detail and its main function includes the system login, materials’putting in storage and sending materials out of warehouse, inventory management of materials and purchase management of equipments and generating a variety of reports.There are basic functions of logistics information system in warehousing, distribution and transport modules in this system which can execute basic maintenance for all kinds of information to simplify the business process and the system has achieved a simple decision frame which serves as a reference for management decisions. The design of this warehousing management system can implement the automation of business process, reduce duplication of labor, improve work efficiency , reduce logistics cost in enterprises and increase economic benefits.
