There are lots of international rivers in our country. In recent years, as the economic development and open course of areas along the river , international rivers are polluted to different extent. To develop and utilize the international rivers, we must coordinate the relationship with neighbour countries. Preventing and curing the international river pollution is not only a major issue affecting the public, but also an important factor ensuring world peace.At present, researches concentrating international rivers in our country are very limited, this study discusses prevention and cure legal system on international river in our country. It begins with introduction of international river conception, analyzing the importance, features and frontal situation of international rivers in our country. Then, it introduces international documents of international river, lists basic principles of international river, discusses legal treaty system in the world. Next, evaluates present prevention and cure legal mechanism on international river in our country, analyzes defects of legal mechanism with legislation, management departments, emergencey management system, legal obligation system. At last, it raises perfecting legal mechanism with these aspects. In additional, it emphasizes international cooperation, pointing out international cooperation principle, cooperation departments, cooperation content and dispute solution plan, in order to coming up with basis and thoughts for improving and innovating theory and practice on prevention and cure legal system of international river in our country.
