Abstract


This is information times with a surplus of the information, this is internettimes with the world being connected. Massive storage and scientific searchhave become two critical capabilities using information, the search engineresearches and discoveries information with a certain strategy in the internet,then understands、extracts and processes the information, provides a retrievalservice to user. Search engines not only eases people’s anxiety withinformation, but also reduces the cost of people acquiring information, thenbecome the most frequent tool being used in the internet time.At the same time, the search engine not only develops as an informationtool, but also rises as a social culture and an idea. The search engine quietlyinfiltrates various ideologies and values into the searched results by accessibletechnology, to show the way to appear neutral, so as to influence or control theaudience’s consciousness and values, then becomes a new type ofinformation hegemony in the field of the internet communication.In a word, this article breakthrough all the current technical concernsabout the search engine, from the point of the communication about the field ofhumanities and social sciences, explain the search engine by the way ofsociality and culture.
