Abstract


As a popular developing method, agile used by more and more software companies. Agile methodology is one kind of adaptive development process and mainly focuses on team’s working efficiency and marketing time. The development process based on the agile methods is evolutionary, iterative and incemental. During the period of the development, the plan can be adjusted in time according to the requirement changes from customers. Since the agile process is generally regarded as an unpredictable process, the testing work on agile has not widely been studied. Sotfwaer testing is an important work that has been used to ensuring and improving the quality of sotfware,however, because agile software developing is a new developing pattern, the traditional software testing model and design can not be applied to it.Internet Access Device, referred to as IAD, is a routing equipment for general household or office space to provide connection between the small-scale local area network and Internet. It must be consistent with the updates of the network development, which need to support the escalating scale of products and services. The development cycle of Internet access devices is also very tight, software development is usually reserved for only a quarter,a maximum of six months. While the demand is also very unstable, due to the development of a large number of new features, its demand is not mature, and we have to continue fixing it to improve. As the frequent product updates, the short development cycle, the instability of the demand, the development of IAD is suitable for the use of agile development methodology.First, Current software testing technologies are summarized. Then new testing progress and implementing steps which apply to all the stages of agile method are designed based on software testing experience from engineering practice. Designing a new test scheme based on agile method for Internet Access Device is the main work and innovation. Analyse the changes of the test work by introduce the role of the agile test engineer.Based on common practice of software testing processes, propose the improvement software testing process for every sprint of the Internet access device development, which is based on the application of agile methodology. Finally, focusing on the acceptance testing of the agile test work, discussesed the selection of test methods and the generation method of the test cases, and insisted the significance of cross-test and correlation test, which should be used in the acceptance test. At the end, introduce the particular testing work for the GUI test and Firmware management test.
