Abstract


This paper mainly deals with the sediment problems in water environment improvement. Theresearch background of this paper is the "Technical Study & Comprehensive Demonstrationon Improvement of Water Environment and Ecological Restoration in Zhenjiang", the majorspecial science & technology program of China during "the 10th Five-year Plan" period. Themain contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Aggregated domestic and foreign research results about water diversion and sedimentcontrol, recalled the research results of Neijiang River.(2)Through the physical model experiments, anaylzed water and sediment characteristics ofNeijiang River from three areas: the flow field, the concentration distribution and thesedimentation distribution.(3)Through the study on water and sediment characteristics, the author made the reasonableproposal and did relevant researches on the flow dynamic characteristics and siltationmechanism, in order to predict the sediment deposition after the project.(4)Based on the experimental results, the author used linear programming approach to theoperation of the regulator in scheduling options discussed, and study on the lasting runningprocess of the water level adjusting system.By means of the research measures of diverting water against sediment in Zhenjiang waterenvironment, it explores scientific, feasible means and channels of water sediment regulation,offers scientific basis to Zhenjiang water environment control. On the other hand, the researchprovides a reference about water environment control to others cities.
