Abstract


The problem of underachievers is long-term and widespread problem, and there are a large number of related researches at home and abroad. To promotion of quality education and harmonious education in our country, it’s Inconsistent with the educational philosophy that there are so many underachievers. And whether or not promote the academic success of them is weight off the realization of quality education and harmonious education. To the research about countermeasure that have been done at home, though the problem of non-intellectual factors has been involved by some of them, but many of them is only status survey, it is lack of the research on how to promote the academic success of underachievers by making using of non-intellectual factors on the base of harmonious education. And this is the foundation and value of this study.The research methods used by the study are literature method, informal interviews and questionnaire survey. The number of objects is 290, and they come from three years in five middle schools in Luogang District of Guangzhou. These schools are 91st. middle school, First Middle School of Zhen long, Second Middle School of Zhen Long, First Middle School of Jiu Fu and Second Middle School of Jiu Fu. The finds of survey are as follows:First, the overall level of the objects is general, and it is at a medium level.Second, the relation of seven dimensions is not only significant correlate but also significant different.Third, the non-intellectual factors have significant gender differences, and problem of boys more outstanding than girls’.Forth, some of the non-intellectual factors have significant grade differences, and equalization of low-grade is higher than high-grade.Fifth, some of the non-intellectual factors have significant school differences in different circumstances.
