Abstract


The current, people truly felt the profound impact of the new science on education, and the new requirement from society and economy raised more strict challenges for the traditional education, which is difficult to meet the educational needs of modern society. The emergence of multimedia on-line distance learning thoroughly broke the traditional teaching model on time and space constraints, achieving the goal of teaching and learning activities carried out anywhere, anytime.However, as the amount growth of on-line user and expansion of multimedia, the traditional C/S and B/S mode of the remote network teaching has exposed many problems. First, due to network bandwidth limitation, the audio and video and other multimedia files as a huge amount of information is difficult to spread on the traditional network of distance learning platform. Second, the C/S and B/S mode, for each request from the user, the server will respond and establish a separate dedicated communication. When the number of users reaches a certain limit, the server would unable to provide services to all users.The thesis, on the foundation of the existing research fruit, uses the DirectShow as the Video Player framework and analyses its structure under multimedia developing environment and its optimized solution, especially the filter design. Then it gives in-depth study into data sampling, data transmission, buffer settings, multimedia synchronization and the corresponding solutions. Finally, the overall design of the system and some detailed design are demonstrated and the system related operations were also instructed, in addition, some key pages of the user interface are shown.
