Abstract


With the arrival of 3G era, People can not only enjoy higher-quality voice service, but also can be more convenient to carry out high-speed data services such as video calls and streaming media with mobile phones on their hands. Because of the increasing requirements in both quantity and quality of communication, how to use the frequency resources more effectively has become a common focus in the communication field. Dynamic Radio Bearer Control (DRBC), as one of the effective schemes, has been increasingly used in wireless communication systems.The design process of this system fully complied with the idea of structured programming: top-down, stepwise refinement and modular design. First of all, the requirements of Dynamic Radio Bearer Control system were analized by means of use-case. After a clear understanding of the system’s functions to be achieved, the system was divided into interface module, channel allocation module and channel switching module. Then these three modules were further divided and designed in detail. In the implementation process, all the data structures needed in the system were designed firstly, and then the structured coding in strict accordance with the sub block and hierarchical structure in the design was carried out. The data among the sub modules within the system, as well as between the present system and other systems exchanged by way of passing pointer, which reduced unnecessary memory overhead and improved operating efficiency. In addition, global variables were not used as the way of data interaction in order to improve the cohesion among the sub modules and reduce the coupling among the systems. Eventually, a system testing was given to the Dynamic Radio Bearer Control System, and expected results were achieved.Dynamic Radio Bearer Control has become a very effective scheme to improve the frequency utilization. With the increasing number of people who are studying and improving it, the Dynamic Radio Bearer Control System will become more perfect and stronger.
