Abstract


In 2007, under the influence of the international financial crisis triggered by the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis , the economic downturn and recession , the United States launched a new round of trade protectionism trend , this trade protectionism not only with political overtones and with new features . Learned through the study of a large number of domestic and foreign literature : traditional economics trade theory suggests that only by adopting a policy of free trade to be able to achieve Pareto optimal , countries in order to maximize their own welfare should be the policy of free trade as a national trade policy choice , but in reality national trade policy is not such theory to explain as trade protectionism under a variety of names has always been the mainstream of national trade policies .
