Abstract

HPGe detector is mainly used to measure the gamma -ray energy spectrum , the energy resolution of a few keV , than the commonly used NaI ( T1 ) detector several times that many use the NaI ( T1 ) spectrometer measurements can not distinguish the spectrum clearly separated . Therefore, the fact that most of the complex gamma -ray energy spectrum with high-purity germanium detector . Clover HPGe detector assembly consists of four HPGe crystal cutting and processing , more commonly used from a single piece of HPGe crystal detectors, the ability to distinguish in the corner , the maximum count rate , detection efficiency and suppress Doppler broadening has obvious advantages . The papers in a wide energy range of the Clover detector gamma -ray detection efficiency use general-purpose Monte Carlo program MCNP4C theoretical simulation , in the low - energy part of the experimental measurements and theoretical simulation and experimental measurement results compare gamma -ray detection efficiency of the detector Clover scale. Clover and covered with 8 anti - Kang BGO crystal . 16 BGO anti-Compton logical OR signal of the signal as a data acquisition system gate signal , control signal trade-offs . Experimental to Kmax multi-parameter data acquisition system , event log Clover four output signal recorded at the same time . Event in the off-line data processing , the four data processing by the sum of the brightest energy corresponding to the same event , to draw Clover Test spectroscopy and detection efficiency , and the cross-talk between the four crystal effect caused by the event detection efficiency increases to do the analysis .
