Abstract


This thesis focuses on the two Tibetan Muslim groups who live in the lha-mo village and thang-sgang village of Go-mdo township in Amdo (Qinghai province), Northeast Tibetan Plateau. In the first chapter, the author discusses the historical origin of the Tibetan Muslims of the lha-mo village and thang-sgang village through field research. In the second chapter, the author analyzes the means of livelihood of Tibetan Muslim groups, including agricultural and ex-agricultural livelihood. In the third chapter, the author researches folk culture, such as religious rites, festival culture, and daily life. In the fourth chapter, the author pays attention the status of religion in the community, and especially changes in religious belief. In the last chapter, the author narrates the educational circumstances of Tibetan Muslim groups living in lha-mo village and thang-sgang village etc.
