Abstract

Unified process is a good methodology of software engineering. It is proved to be implemented on development of enterprise system successfully. But there are some issues on implementing it on the distributed development environment. The issues as complex system, un-clear requirement and slow feedback make one side development to be ineffective and poor quality. Security management and analysis system (SMAS) is an important product of a financial investment company. At present, distributed development for SMAS is going, and meets such issues. According to the difficulty on development for SMAS, and researching on the feasibility and advantage of agile methodology, we advance a new methodology-Agile Unified Process (AUP).AUP methodology analysis the characters in development, advance the AUP own value concept and development process, and build the development cycle and development framework. AUP advance the concept of configurable, which is divided as main line and configurable modules. It can configure the process of development which based on different status and steps of project. In this framework, by building prototype and communicating with clients, we can clear requirement to get a common view. Development based on this framework can reduce risk effectively, and the agile method can trigger the passion of developer and make it more suitable. In this paper, we also carry out the methodology in development. To analysis the output, we get the conclusion that the AUP can fit the environment well in China side, and can improve the quality and efficiency for the development.
