The software scale software project quantifiable results , is an important basis of the important parameters of the project is estimated and corporate decision-making . Therefore , the requirements phase of the software project , you need to measure software size . In the existing size measurement method , the function point method can be used for the needs analysis phase and the formation of a variety of standard IFPUG FPA , Mk Ⅱ methods and COSMIC methods for the represented . COSMIC method is the new generation of function point size measurement method , allowing the measure to measure software from the user 's point of view , by determining the user functional requirements . This article in COSMIC Measurementl based on , given the mode of use of the method in the field of business applications , designed and implemented a set of related metrics tool , the main work is to : 1) discusses the history of the Function Point method , traditional function point method , and compared with the COSMIC method , in-depth analysis of the COSMIC method . 2 ) in the field of business applications , combined with practical application , the UML introduced the concept of the COSMIC method . 3 ) This article is designed and implemented a secondary metric tools COSMIC Measurement Tool (CMT), given the statistical rules based on time , project personnel , assisted those using the the COSMIC method of measure are clear, accurate , and efficient way to get the measure data. 4 ) business process management software , CMT applied to the the software enterprise quality management system , through a combination of enterprise project management and quality control processes , verify the effectiveness of the use of the tool auxiliary measure . This tool not only demand for enterprise statistical analysis of the scale of software provides support for enterprise project management , resource allocation , process control , process improvement , and personnel management provides an important reference .
