Abstract


Since the Opium War gradually made China the semi-colonial and semi-feudal society from feudal society, the politics, economy and culture of the society was extremely changed, thus began her difficult modernization process. As an intellectual and a poet, Zhu Qi, who lived in this historical turning point, observed social malady with special position and unique insights and reflected the social reality with great passion and unique stroke. He had made great achievement in poetry creation, which made him get important influence on the poem circle in Guangxi Province even the whole country at that time. For this reason we can’t ignore his poetry when we study the poetry of this period.This article, taking ZhuQi himself and his poetry as the main object of study, combs approximately his family background and the biography and then dicusses the characteristic of the presentation and intrinsic quality of his poems from various visual angle. The presentation means the biography experience, the poetic origin and the poetry theory that was the reason of his poetry characteristic’s emerging; the intrinsic quality means the detailed discussion to the poetry contents and characteristics from the his poetry text as well as his influence on the latter times. This paper hopes, by the interrelated study, give a comprehensive understanding and evaluation on Zhu Qi the man of letters and his poetry.
