Abstract


Social withdrawal is any kind of loneliness that children sustained in strange or familiar circumstances, including withdrawal、shyness、communication restrain and so on. Parent-children and peer relations have close associations with social withdrawal. To study the social withdrawal of children can not only enrich the theoretical and practical study of social withdrawal but also give a good lesson on the prevention of social withdrawal.Using 964 children participates in order to investigate the characteristics and effecting factors of children’s withdrawal. This thesis has the following proposals:(1) Children’s withdrawal has no significant difference between different grades. The mean of different latitudes increases with grades. The active withdrawal of boys and girls increases with grades, while the passive withdrawal of boys increased first, then reduced. The passive withdrawal of girls decreases with grades.(2) On the whole, to the children’s withdrawal there is no significant gender difference, but there is significant difference between active withdrawal while thepassive withdrawal exists no significant difference.(3) To the children’s withdrawal, there exists significant difference among children whose school styles are different, specially speaking, common school’s results are significantly higher than that of key school.(4) Children’s social withdrawal exists significant difference among family origins. Specially speaking, the larger the city is, the lowerer the social withdrawal is. (5) To the children’s social withdrawal, there is no significant difference on the fathers’ educational background, while significant difference exists on their mothers’ educational background. Specially, the higher their mothers’ educational background, the less their social withdrawal is.(6) The attachment to father and mother has negative relationships among different latitude of social withdrawal.(7) In the parenting style, warm emotions and understanding of father and mother has significant negative relationships with social withdrawal and each latitudes. While punishment、severe rejection and denial has significant relationships with social withdrawal and passive withdrawal.(8) In the peer relations, except the latitude of betrayal, which has significant relationship with social withdrawal, other latitudes have significant negative relationships with social withdrawal.(9) Mother love the participate and the guidance、the way of solving the conflict can predict passive withdrawal negatively. While to the active withdrawal, friendship quality can significantly predict it negatively, mother’s severe punishment and betrayal of friend relationship can positively predict it.
