Abstract


With the rapid development of information technology , the human being into the web - based information age , information intelligence gradually into every corner of our lives , including remote meter reading system is a typical example . Remote meter reading system is the use of microelectronics and Internet networks , sensing technology automatically read and process meter data , the city residents with water , electricity, gas , and other information to be integrated processing system . Automatic meter reading technology to water, electricity, gas companies and property management department from the fundamental solution to the meter reading charges brought trouble to the user and the meter reading personnel , to avoid unnecessary disputes . However , due to the openness of the Internet , there are many hidden dangers of the meter reading data security threat to the safe use of the remote meter reading system . SSL (Secure Socket Layer, Secure Sockets Layer ) protocol is the international popular WWW - based network security solutions . Variety of cryptographic techniques , user authentication , encrypted data transmission , data integrity check , digital signatures and other security features , and thus , can use SSL protocol to ensure secure transmission of meter reading data on the Internet . Based on the open source project OpenSSL implements an SSL protocol dynamic link library and X.509 digital certificate issued by CA system function , dynamic link library and the SSL protocol and X.509 digital certificates issued by the CA system applied to the remote copy table system , base station and data center communications , both the safety of the meter reading data transmission and communication based on the SSL protocol authentication on the Internet .
