Abstract


Currently both research and education of career planning is paid much attention in colleges and universities and thus become a routine. However, senior middle schools lack such research and education of senior middle school students. Students are unable to find the effective approach to planning their future occupation. Schools pay little attention to cultivating students’awareness of career planning, especially in rural senior middle schools where the level of education is relatively outdated, let alone the education of career planning. Therefore, it is urgent to primarily conduct education of career planning by taking advantage of political courses in senior high schools.Based on the combing through of relevant researches both at home and abroad, this research empirically conducted surveys of questionnaires and individual interviews and thus found that the majority of senior high school students were aware of career planning. However, for lack of professional guidance, together with unawareness of personal current situations and of aims for future development, which caused blindness and uncertainty, they held less positive or active attitude towards their study, let alone make a choice about majors in colleges or universities.Students should be instructed to know something about economy, politics and cultural life in political courses and thus their ability of participating in modern social life. Values about the world, life and value are hoped to be formed. Education of career planning can strengthen effectiveness in class. In that case, it is necessary and possible to carry out career planning education in political courses.In class of political courses, there are many ways to carry out career planning education when teaching, such as by taking advantage of teaching materials in textbooks, making use of social practice and family cooperation, and integrating all kinds of social resources to support the education of students’career planning, which can not only arouse students’enthusiasm about study but also can play a positive role in guiding students’future development.
