Abstract

The ultra-high polymeric adsorbent regeneration characteristics by virtue of its fine pore structure , high specific surface area , high mechanical strength , excellent adsorption selectivity and easy desorption , adsorption and separation of materials research focus , but traditional Hypercrosslinked resin single skeletal structure (mostly St-DVB type) , the drawback of a higher manufacturing cost but also to some extent limit to broaden their field of application . Is the laboratory preliminary work on the basis of this study , for the first time using xylene pendant light chlorinated and sustained Friedel-Crafts alkylation polymerization synthesis of a class of ultra-high crosslinked resin , and aqueous phenol the static adsorption characteristics . Ultrahigh crosslinked resin specific preparation process is divided into two steps, first by a xylene pendant photochemical chlorination reaction mixture chlorinated xylene , to obtain a highest dichlorobenzyl content mixed chlorinated xylene ; FeCl3 under Catalysis , obtained chlorinated xylene since poly , or the copolymer hypercrosslinked with benzene bE ( or biphenyl DP ) resin . By infrared spectroscopy , elemental analyzer , than this kind of ultra-high surface area and pore size analyzer crosslinked resin chemical structure , specific surface area and pore structure characterization and their synthesis mechanism discussed . Experimental results show that : such adsorption resin having a high specific surface area (up to 905 m2 / p g ) and large pore volume , the narrow pore size distribution (mainly in the micropores and low - end in the hole ) , and such resins are containing O element, which is the residue in the resin of the CI is hydrolyzed into -OH or are oxidized to the - C = O from The static adsorption behavior of phenol , in the studied concentration range , this ultra-high crosslinked resin adsorption amount of phenol up to 171mg / g, significantly better than at home and abroad for phenols adsorption Amberlite XAD-4 resin ; adsorption isotherms of phenol can be a good fit with Freundlich and Langmuir equation ; adsorption process , the adsorbent hydroxyl phenol phenolic hydroxyl groups form hydrogen bonding interactions , which increases the amount of resin adsorption of phenol ; momentum studies have shown that the adsorption process in line with the quasi - second-order kinetics model ; adsorption process is spontaneous and exothermic process . The type of resin is expected to be applied in phenolic wastewater treatment .
