Abstract


The face of the concept from the Chinese culture has a rich cultural connotations. Today, scholars of the \The face quite good politeness theory, Brown Levinson (Brown Levinson) (1987), the face - a greater impact. Finally, in the conclusion of this article is on this basis that: the concept of the essence of Chinese culture in the face is the need of personal respect; instead of Brown and Levinson negative sub-concept of the so-called \freedom from imposed. \Therefore, Brown and Levinson's negative sub-concept does not exist in the Chinese culture.
