Abstract


Geographic information systems, global positioning systems and remote sensing are collectively referred to as geographic information technology, geography as a branch of the most active, has a strong vitality and practical value. Optimization of geographic information technologies, the geographic base of the traditional mode of education and teaching methods, to the geography of elementary education has brought new opportunities and change.This paper describes in detail the basis of domestic and international geography of geographic information technologies in education Research. Geographic information technology with foreign countries compared to basic education can be seen, our research is still in its infancy, there is still much room for growth. And geographic information for the current technical part of PEP’s textbooks were reviewed, based on the proposition of the college entrance examination subject to trends and the actual needs of students in the teaching materials to give written comments and suggestions. Then in high school to explore what kind of people suitable for creation of geographic information technology courses. Finally, in the actual teaching of geographic information technologies can be applied to the teaching examples.Concluded that the current PEP materials have the potential to be tapped, there are many parts to enhance and improve the teaching materials of the reform will help improve the quality of teaching and improve learning efficiency. In this paper, teachers made some suggestions for general education textbooks workers digging deeper to provide an example.
