Abstract


Because of the demands of traffic and the advantages in ventilation and operational safety, a large number of parallel tunnels have emerged. Due to terrain and geology constraints, tunnels with small spacing are applied in great numbers. In engineering, the situation is commonly encountered that one of the tunnels with small spacing was built and comes into service before the others(the following tunnel) are in course of construction. The construction of the following tunnels will have adverse influence to the wall rock and affect the operating tunnel.The author has investigated the following areas based on Juyunshan tunnel:①Using 2D FEM numerical analysis to analyse the degree of influence that each construction stages of the following tunnel affect the operating tunnel.②The degree of influence that the construction of the following tunnel affects the operating tunnel at each burial depth was worked out.③The degree of influence that the construction of the following tunnel affect the operating tunnel at each different spacing was worked out.④The degree of influence that the construction blasting of the following tunnel affect the operating tunnel and the control of blasting vibration were worked out .⑤The methods of the controlling' dissertation">monitoring and controlling system for influence that the construction of the following tunnel affect the operating tunnel was worked out.
