Abstract


Since the late 80s in the 20th century, clean production in the United States and other countries have implemented and achieved good results. As the practice of sustainable development theory, cleaner production is the best production to achieve economic, social and environmental benefits. Based on sustainable development theory and the theory of cleaner production, as a study area in Shandong province, this paper analysis the economic and environmental benefits generated by the implementation of cleaner production, and assesses the potential for sustainable industrial development in the industry of Shandong province.In addition to the conclusion, there are five parts in the paper:The first chapter introduces the research background, significance of the topic and the content of the paper.The second chapter mainly discusses the related concepts and theories of sustainable development theory and the theory of cleaner production. It explains the importance and necessity of clean production and emphasizes that cleaner production is an inevitable choice for sustainable development.The third chapter describes the situation of domestic and international implementation of cleaner production and the achieved good results. For this, it proves that cleaner production is the way to gain good environmental and economic effect. The data of this paper comes from the status of insufficient cleaner production quantification research. This paper describes the appraisement method of benefit of cleaner production and a quantitative assessment of the benefits.The fourth chapter describes the classification of the industrial sector in Shandong province and simply analysis the distribution of its industrial sector. It discusses the achieved good results of cleaner production in the industry of Shandong province.In the fifth section, based on the first few chapters, it summarizes the status of industrial pollution, and concludes that cleaner production is the efficacious way to solve the pollution problem. It assesses the economic and environmental benefits generated by the implementation of cleaner production and analysis the sustainability of the plans in Shandong province and then generally analysis the potential for sustainable industrial development in the industry of Shandong province.
