This paper based on the north the 21 minority ethnic source and production, life style of classification and from many northern minorities in this paper defines the minority. Among them the Mongolian, Olunchun and Uyghur of northern minorities more representative of the minority, its production, life style respectively represent the north ethnic minority areas of the three major economic production type. The thesis also the three typical minority costumes as the main research object, according to this principle, from the Beijing institute of clothing apparel courtesy of the national museum of the northern minorities clothing collection of select 30 pieces of clothing material, the collar, side opening ,sleeves, structure of surveying and mapping. These specific case study research northern minorities clothing for the four basic types-gowns, trousers, tank top out, the design of dress modeling and cutting method provides powerful evidence.Through the collection of real work piece of data analysis, comparison and induction, and collection forms of copy, we summarizes its structure of the three important characteristics, mainly in fur clothing material of the convenience of structure and uniqueness, northern minorities gown structure of the practical functional and northern minorities clothing in foreign culture of structure under the influence of the three-dimensional structure has completed the transformation.After the northern minorities clothing forms of measurement, analysis, copy, except to northern minorities clothing structure form a deeper understanding, but also realized profoundly the clothing structure with the culture behind some thoughts. Their evidence each other, so that we can not only from the rational Angle to study northern minorities clothing structure, also can experience from its clothing structure to its tool for things simple creation view and vitality.
