Abstract


Continue to make breakthroughs in scientific theory, engineering technology to a new height, the successful application of engineering technology can not do without the guidance of engineering. In the field of computer technology, computer engineering and software engineering, biological engineering in the field of biotechnology and genetic engineering. However, as a close neighbor of the software industry, the IC industry has been no independent engineering. The pace of development of the integrated circuit manufacturing technology is rare for any other technical fields, enduring enormous pressure brought to integrated circuit design. For half a century, the people to improve the design capability tireless efforts, including the electronic design automation tools (EDA) design methodology, hardware description language (HDL), but so far there is no system of engineering research. This article attempts to draw on the successful experience in software engineering, to explore the possibility of establishment of integrated circuits engineering, integrated circuits engineering research methods to software engineering reference system. Specific content, software process management and quality metrics methodology for the reference to the concept of total quality management as core engineering quality model, quality metrics and quality improvement methods used in integrated circuit design process of the IP evaluation process in. The main work and the main results obtained are as follows: 1 for the first time from an engineering point of view to study the spacing of the integrated circuit design capabilities, system overview of technology transfer between the field of integrated circuit design and software engineering management from an engineering surface integrated circuit engineering research; 2. within the framework of integrated circuits engineering, the paper quality management process integrated circuit IP-depth research. Reference software refactoring process defines a standardized integrated circuit IP quality improvement process. Target hardware description languages, hardware code defines basic refactoring operations, and improvements in hardware micro-architecture process. Finally, ultra-wideband wireless communication system in the Viterbi decoder, for example, related to the application of research and analysis on the reconstruction method.
