Abstract

In this paper, from the perspective of innovation and efficiency to explore differences inherent mechanism of the development of regional innovation. Specifically, the first use of endogenous growth model based on innovation, by analysis of the mechanism of innovation on regional economic growth, creatively innovative efficient decomposition of innovation and production efficiency and innovation and economic efficiency, build on regional innovation efficiency two level comprehensive analytical framework, and the use of a large sample of panel data, stochastic frontier analysis method to calculate the efficiency of regional innovation, comparison and classification, a complete picture of the characteristics of the innovation and development of the various regions of China and its influencing factors, and ultimately proposed a system of regional innovative models. Part in the theoretical study, we build the endogenous growth model based on technology innovation, and increase in the model under open conditions, technical mimic the impact of innovation and production, as well as the extent of the run-in between the intermediate goods sector and the final product sector the model results more in line with reality. The model studies have shown that the effect of innovation on regional economic growth can be decomposed into two levels, regional innovation production level, the second level of realization of the economic benefits of regional innovation.
