With the transformation of the national economic system, economic, social, ecological, environmental and other issues faced by the resource-based cities become more prominent. Circumvent the resource-based cities dependent resources in the process of continuous improvement of the economic system, through the adjustment of industrial structure, promote the sustainable development of resource-based cities, the new era of coordinated regional development, major strategic task of building a harmonious society and themes has important strategic significance and practical significance. In this paper, based on the definition of some of the basic concepts of resources, resource-based cities, resource-based industries, the industrial structure evolution, analysis of the main features of the structure of the resource-based cities in China and resource-based industries.
