Abstract


Objective: To understand the nutritional status of children under the age of 2 and its influencing factors in poor minority areas , to provide a scientific basis to improve the nutritional status of children under 2 years of poor minority areas . Methods: A stratified cluster random sampling method , in four poor counties in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region ( Pingguo County , Rongshui , Tiandeng , Bama County) randomly selected 663 children under 2 years of age and their parents . Obtained through physical measurements and the questionnaire survey , the following information : In general , growth and development status , dietary nutritional status , parental feeding behavior and nutritional status of influencing factors . Non-conditional logistic regression model for children anemia, weight loss , low birth weight , obesity influencing factors in multivariate logistic regression analysis . Results: ethnic minority poverty in rural areas, child malnutrition rate up to 78.61% , the prevalence of anemia was 25.90% , the weight loss was 33.58% , the low birth weight rate was 9.94% , the obesity rate was 9.04% . Poor minority areas of the nutritional status of children under the age of 2 main factors : Children male sex ( OR = 1.61) , preterm delivery (OR = 2.61) risk factors for anemia in children , mother education level of high school and above ( OR = 0.61 ) , the first bite of food to eat after the birth of a child is breast milk (OR = 0.57) or milk ( oR = 0.57 ) , unweaned children surveyed (OR = 0.45) for the protection of children's anemia factors . Mother 's level of education for primary and lower ( OR = 2.04) , children surveyed have been weaned (OR = 1.81) the emaciated risk factors for children , children's gender to female children wasting protective factors . Low birth weight ( OR = 4.55 ) , father 's education level of junior high school and below ( OR = 2.58 ) , family population ≥ 4 ( OR = 2.36) , regularly eat soy foods ( OR = 2.38) in the last year , the child begins to add a food supplement the time gt ; 6 months (OR = 2.01) as risk factors for low birth weight in children under 2 years of age , and often eat fruits (OR = 0.35) as protective factors for low birth weight in children under 2 years of age in the last year . Parents (OR = 0.38) did not work outside the home or the only father work outside the home (OR = 0.44), unweaned children surveyed (OR = 0.17) for the protection of childhood obesity factors . Conclusion: The higher prevalence of malnutrition in children under 2 years of age in poor minority rural areas , should take appropriate nutrition improvement measures to intervene .
