Abstract


After the end of World War II , the Soviet Union as the representative of the socialist camp and the US-led capitalist camp in ideology and social system is bounded , a fierce confrontation bipolar pattern . With the changes in the international environment , especially in the late 1960s, international pattern tends to be multi-polar , the emergence of the strategic nuclear balance of power in the Soviet Union and the United States , the Soviet Union forced by the pressure of the domestic economy , adjusted its stiff , the foreign policy of voluntarism to Federal Republic of Germany as a breakthrough , and began to pursue the easing diplomatic . With the introduction of the new Eastern policy in the Federal Republic of Germany , the easing of relations between the Soviet Union and the Federal Republic of Germany is a big step forward , making the Soviet Union to ease diplomatic goal first in continental Europe . Easing of relations between the Soviet Union and the Federal Republic of Germany has opened a new chapter in bilateral relations , but also an important part of the easing of East-West relations during this period , have a profound impact on both countries and the entire international situation .
