Changbai Mountain is the place of Manchu origin, in Changbai Mountains Manchu generations breed and reflection, they led a nomadic fishing life in northeast part of China, years of fishing and hunting life formed a kind of national spirit of be talented in riding and shooting, so they are brave and be good at fighting. During the evolution of long history, Manchu people of Changbai Mountain area created a rich and colorful folk culture. This kind of special living environment, beautiful myths and legends, Mysterious and ancient religious beliefs, tough national character are the fertile soils of Manchu folk cultural, Manchu folk paper-cutting breed and growth on this black land. Changbai mountain Manchu folk paper-cutting has been inherited generation after generation. It contains the Manchu people’s wisdom, temperament and national spirit. It is a sacred river in Manchu people’s heart, it is the long river of history that load the rise and fall, joys and sorrows of Manchu people. Changbai mountain Manchu folk paper-cutting is an important form of Chinese folk culture and Changbai mountain Manchu intangible heritage.
