Abstract


Service industry cluster not only can bring with economies of scale and the external economy to save cost, but also has the efficiency of knowledge overflowing, learning and innovation, so it can effectively promote the regional competitiveness of the industry and the long term regional economic growth. Therefore, to promote development of service industry cluster is the direction of Jiangsu service industry development, and it’s also the inevitable choice of Jiangsu to realize the periodic goal of development of service industry and the historic leap in industrial structures.This paper, based on the related theory of industry agglomeration and service industry as a foundation, has analyzed the theory of service industry cluster; this paper has studied the mechanisms and the current situation of service industry cluster in Jiangsu province.According GEMS model, this paper has chosen eight influence factors from inner and outer of the service industry to make a multivariate linear regression analysis for four service industries in Jiangsu Province.Finally, according to the empirical results, combining the actual situation of service industries in Jiangsu province, this paper has offered some countermeasures to rationally develop service industries in Jiangsu province.
