Abstract

High school English test and high school English teaching is always mutual contact and mutual influence. The high school English test plays a vital role in the process of teaching high school English, detection, and effective means to assess the quality of teaching high school English. However, China's high school English teaching and testing practices relationship between the two has been presented with conflicting state: on the one hand, a strong impetus to the rapid development of the high school English teaching in China; On the other hand, the test and to some extent the healthy development of teaching high school English. Therefore, how to rationalize the relationship between testing and teaching, play positive positive effect, reducing the negative impact of high school English teaching reform and development is essential. In this thesis, on the the Daqing high school English Test for investigation and research, the study found that in high school English test, and make recommendations for improvement. The purpose is to make the test better service to the teaching and become an effective means of detection, assessment of the quality of teaching; reduce the test to students learning English bring psychological pressure to improve students learning English enthusiasm and initiative, and enhance learn English confidence. Test the basic theory of the paper uses Bachman Palmer (1999: 17) on the English test quality requirements of reliability, validity, authenticity and influence as a benchmark, the use of the method of examination paper analysis of high school English test volume (week test, month exam, midterm and final papers) analysis; then Daqing a high school student and teacher use of questionnaires and interviews, statistical data analysis, and ultimately found that: 1) the questions design professional is not strong, mainly including papers difficulty, excessive amount of questions, multiple-choice questions Peter. obscure; questions selected quality standards; achievement tests and proficiency tests District not tell. 2) testing theories of teachers lacking; teachers focus too much on test scores, while ignoring the feelings of the students, the students insufficient attention to the emotional, cultural awareness; inadequate analysis after the test papers. 3) Of course, the students 'own problems, such as: the students' learning attitude is not correct; no good study habits, lack of self-learning ability; lack of initiative, and so on. In view of the above findings, the analysis of the reasons for these problems and made some suggestions for a high school English test. First, teachers should strengthen the learning of the language test theoretical knowledge to better play the role of the test on teaching; Secondly, the teachers' own design questions, should grasp the overall requirements of the test design; teachers select the type of test, should be for different selection of different types of testing testing purposes; again, scientific test to reduce the frequency to avoid the test to the students create too heavy psychological burden; Finally, teachers and students should maintain equal and harmonious teacher-student relationship, not because of the merits of student achievement, and the to generate closeness and bias; Teachers should not only focus on the work before the test, and more concerned about the test after the students to understand the psychological feeling.
