Name is the distinction of the language symbols between different people, containing a wealth of content and information. It is accompanied by one’s life and each person’s social life. With the advent of multi-cultural development and information technology era, the name issue arouses a wide concern:how to use the word used in names properly to fit the needs of people’s social communication? It has become an urgent subject. Real name information collection through scientific and quantitative statistical analysis, understanding the contemporary status of the characters names, correcting some errors in people’s names word-choosing, all these are very important for they can raise useful suggestions for further research.This article mainly utilizes the social linguistics and literature theory, combined with the content of name study, using quantitative analysis based on the method of corpus linguistics, taking the objects in Dongying District--elementary school, middle school and university school students -these three stages students’names words for quantitative analysis research. According to the sampling data statistics, the result of the different stages of students’names words on form, sound and meaning analysis of the specific interpretation, through different gender, age, regions, the difference of the element such as comparative study, summarize students and pupils in Dongying population in name using rule of Characters used, characteristics and development trend, providing some references for future research in dictionary compilation, household names management, name characters used information processing and newborn children naming.This paper mainly can be divided into four chapters:In the first chapter, the basic meanings of research topic selection, the reasons, research value, research contents, key and hard points and possible innovation are listed, and the theoretical basis of the subject and researching methods are introduced.The second chapter is a detailed analysis of glyphs and meanings of characters used among the objects. According to the quantitative statistics draw of data and results, combined with contemporary student in age, gender, geographical factors on the specific name character used difference, and lay a basic foundation on its application and distribution. The third part deals with the Pinyin analysis of students’names of objects. It is mainly based on the quantitative data for each name’s pinyin elements of frequency statistics results, from Chinese initials, finals and tones, tonal patterns, outlines contemporary student’s name words in pronunciation using, explains its name, analyzes the characteristics and voice diction pinyin with condition, thus provide helpful information for its further application.Basing on the above study, the last part deals with the merits, nonstandard usages, and analyse the standardization of characters used in names, then tell the disadvantages of the paper and assumptions, hoping to arouse the further interests in a deeper research.
