Abstract


Michael Porter argued that a country or region's competitiveness and standard of living (wealth) depends on labor productivity, capital productivity and natural resource productivity, or productivity is the most fundamental and important factors to determine the competitiveness. In mainstream economics, labor productivity and capital productivity is given enough attention, and often overlooked resource productivity. To solve the contradiction between environmental protection and competitiveness, Michael Porter advocates green competitiveness to dissolve this impasse, only the attention invested to improve resource productivity can really enhance sustainable competitiveness. This has led to a wide range of economists dispute. However, Michael Porter, to open up a new space to solve the conflict between the ecological and the Economy surface. Theoretical research on resource productivity and urban competitiveness and green competitiveness at home and abroad were reviewed and analyzed, and the productivity of resources is the core concepts of urban green competitiveness. Based on the theory of economic growth and the IPAT formula, systematic analysis of the impact of resource productivity on economic growth, the environment and employment, the importance of resource productivity in the economic and social environment and rural development. Research material flow analysis is an important evaluation method of the resource productivity. After the analysis of the relationship between the cost-benefit analysis of resource productivity and resource productivity and innovation, to explore the internal mechanism of resource productivity and urban green competitiveness, the establishment of resource productivity of urban green competitiveness model and its indicators evaluation system. These changes previous studies only generalities about green competitiveness of resource productivity is the core concept of green competitiveness. In empirical research, the establishment of regional material flow analysis model, material flow analysis accounts on Shanghai for the first time in the country, make up the blank spots in the context of sustainable development in Shanghai, Shanghai to develop strategic planning for sustainable development and green competitive basis. Shanghai with the developed countries and the international metropolis of London were compared, Shanghai resource consumption, resource productivity is low. Urban green competitiveness model and its evaluation index system used in Shanghai, green competitiveness of Shanghai, compared with developed countries is relatively low.
