Abstract


Along With the unceasing development of network, and also with sustained renewal of the video coding and video decoding technology. In the world, a number of governments and enterprises are increasing their investment strength on network video research.Video monitoring system has been more and more widely applied. Compared to traditional video surveillance system, the embedded network video surveillance system based on embedded system technology has many prominent advantages,such as stability,real-time performance, and price. And it is also the latest trend of research and development in video surveillance system.In this thesis,with TQ2440 development based on S3C2440 and Linux operating system, the embedded network video surveillance system is deeply studied and realized.In this paper,we introduce the embedded video surveillance technology’s trend of development and the research situation firstly,then discusse the overall design of the system,finally expatiate the design of the system software,hardware,Linux OS,video store and network transmission.The thesis includes some principal aspects as follows:1. Building hardware by using TQ2440 development board and using open source Linux as operation system,and also establishing the crosstool chain.2. Studied about the theory of Linux operation system migration from every side,and on the basis of it,we have cross compiled the BootLoader,realized transplanted the Linux kernel and make the root file system in TQ2440 development board.3. According to the structure and working mode of video module in Linux kernel, we have revised and compiled the ZC301 USB camera driver program, and also added it into Linux system as a kernel module. 4. In accordance with video4Linux API and TCP socket API, a simple network video monitoring application program is written, and the test results is also provided in the embedded web server.
