Abstract


At the end of the year 2010,《The Legend of Fist》,《sacrifice》,《Let the bullets fly》and several domestic large sweeping across the box office will also show this concept of violence aesthetics again to the audience. The brutal scenes in the movie and scenes of violence stimulate people’s sensory system more and more. From the early films about violent direct narrative, to the nineteen eighties Johnwoo’s " Hero" film’s appearance, then to Takeshi later, Quentin Tarantino and others in the aesthetics of violent film of style in exploration, set off a wave of violence aesthetics.This paper reviews the general situation of the development of the aesthetics of violent film, and then summarizes the origin of aesthetics of violence in films, expression techniques and aesthetic implication. The aesthetics of violent film is mainly shown as for aesthetic violent and bloody violence. And aesthetic meaning is mainly on the sensory stimulation, the emotional catharsis, ideal for sustenance and promotion of art.Over the almost nearly 20 years, violence aesthetics has become a genre film. It is acceptable by the public and it also imperceptibly influences our life. We must pay attention to its possible negative effects. We’d better guide the young people with the right attitude towards violence aesthetics in movies.
