Abstract


Since the 18th century, people in western world have been interested in“sight beauty that can be seen”. As people’s perception and rational thinking on sight art, huge sight resources are found. Since then, people working on western art have done research on sense reaction in order to pursue and explore the objective and rational sight art in the beauty of perceptual sight.As for future watercolor art creation, it is required that new vitality should be gained from extensive development of painting art and deep research of vision perception. If we want to make new breakthrough and new creation, we must follow the common requirement of painting. In that case, we are required to study painting from technique and theory aspects. The combination of the two ways is to meet the requirement of new development of watercolor art. Whatever era we are in, the so-called original and elegant watercolor creation will hardly be achieved, if we don’t work with rational thought or not put esthetic psychology into practice.But how to put rational vision thinking into watercolor practice, this requires us to explore and study from the basic painting language of watercolor and the basic rules of vision and perception.
