Abstract


College students are considered as the new blood of the modernization of China, and also the core force of development in the future. College CPC members has dual role as college students and CPC members, and its quality directly concerns on college’s ideological and political education work. Whether motives of college students are correct or not will directly determine their ability to play their vanguard and exemplary role, also will affect the entire construction team members, thereby affecting all the advanced nature of CPC members, cohesion and combat effectiveness.Under such circumstance as college students’motives are diversify, in order to ensure the quality of party development, we should give a careful analysis of the types of students’motives and analyze rational factors that affect college students. Aiming at students’a variety of motives, it is an urgent need for ideological and political workers to solve such problems as how to ensure the quality of party development, to maintain the advantage and purity of Communist. This paper bases on the investigation of actual status of college students’motives, and analyses the factors that affect students’ motives from different angle, and bring up the idea that how college students correct their motives. It aims at strengthening the education on motives of students, thus enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education.Based on the questionnaire survey of current situation of college students’motives to CPC, this paper expounds the college students’specific performance with bad motives in four aspects: blind conformity, passive obedience, to join the party as a political career weight, self-satisfied vanity. Factors on these students diverse motivation are subjective, also objective, not only surface reasons, but also the deeper reason. This article emphatically points out the result from society, family, school and college students’own, and then brings up the idea that how college students correct their motives by school’s edcation and college students’own. The college should strengthen the students’ theoretical guide, pay attention to the training and selection of activist, organize social investigation, social practice, to provide motives for the students to achieve correct way. Students should pay attention to their own life and world view, values transformation, and join actively in the socialism modernization in practice.
